Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Reachable Assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38385)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion caused by a behavior mismatch between our batch-signature verification code and our single-signature verification code. A remote attacker can trigger assertion failure and perform a denial of service attack.
2) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-33903)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources when processing wedging of RTT estimation. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23589)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a logical error within the process_socks4_request() function in src/core/proto/proto_socks.c, which leaks DNS queries in case the "SafeSocks=1". A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.
