Description

This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-29503)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing project files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32281)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the FontManager when parsing project files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32289)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in IO_CFG when parsing project files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32545)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Cscape!CANPortMigration when parsing project files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27916)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when parsing font files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

6) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-28653)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when parsing project files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

7) Access of Uninitialized Pointer (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-31244)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to uninitialized pointer access while parsing specially crafted CSP files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

8) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32203)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in CScape_EnvisionRV+0x2e374b when parsing project files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

9) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32539)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in CScape_EnvisionRV+0x2e3c04. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted project file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

10) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-31278)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted project file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
