Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-34468)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the DBCPConnectionPool and HikariCPConnectionPool Controller Services. A remote user can configure a Database URL with the H2 driver that enables custom code execution.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-34212)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the JndiJmsConnectionFactoryProvider Controller Service and in ConsumeJMS and PublishJMS Processors. A remote user with ability to configure URL and library properties that enable deserialization of untrusted data from a remote location can execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
