Description

This security bulletin contains information about 9 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36859)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote user can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33868)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to the number of login attempts is not limited. A remote attacker can perform a brute-force attack on HTTP basic authentication.

3) Unprotected Transport of Credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-31277)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected product transmits credentials in plaintext format. A remote attacker can obtain credentials through unprotected transport.

4) Use of hard-coded credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-35987)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain full access to vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to presence of hard-coded credentials in application code. A remote unauthenticated attacker can access the affected system using the hard-coded credentials.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Unprotected storage of credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-35765)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to other users' credentials.

The vulnerability exists due to application stored credentials in plain text in a configuration file on the system. A remote user can view contents of the configuration file and gain access to passwords for 3rd party integration.

6) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32652)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

7) Weak password requirements (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-34995)

The vulnerability allows an attacker to perform brute-force attack and guess the password.

The vulnerability exists due to weak password requirements. An attacker can perform a brute-force attack and guess users' passwords.

8) Use of Password Hash With Insufficient Computational Effort (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-34433)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to use of a weak hash algorithm. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

9) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-35120)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
