Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36538)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A local user can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to the application.
2) Untrusted search path (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36536)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to untrusted search path. A local user can place a malicious library file into a specific location on the system and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
3) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-34119)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default permissions for temporary files. A local user with access to the system can view contents of files and directories or modify them.
