Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40060)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass MFA authentication.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in the authentication process. A remote user with administrative credentials can bypass multi-factor/two-factor authentication and gain unauthorized access to the application.

Note, the vulnerability exists due to incomplete patch for #VU79825 (CVE-2023-35179)


2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40061)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in job execution mechanism. A remote user can bypass security restrictions and escalate privileges on the system.


3) Incomplete List of Disallowed Inputs (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40062)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to incomplete list of disallowed inputs. A remote user on the local network can pass specially crafted input to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
