Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-5831)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application when s"uper_sidebar_logged_out" feature flag is enabled. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.


2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-5825)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can point a CI/CD Component to an incorrect path and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


3) Incorrect Regular Expression (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-3909)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient timeout input validation when processing regular expressions in gitlab-ci.yml file. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform regular expression denial of service (ReDos) attack.


4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-3246)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can block Sidekiq job processor and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-5600)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the service-desk custom email template. A remote user can gain access to the titles of an private specific references.


6) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-4700)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper authorization. A remote user can run jobs in protected environments and bypass any required approvals.
