2) Buffer overflow

EUVDB-ID: #VU80476

Risk: Medium

CVSSv4.0: 4.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]

CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46724

CWE-ID: CWE-120 - Buffer overflow

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when handling gopher responses. A remote attacker can trick the victim into connecting to a malicious gopher server, trigger a buffer overflow and crash the proxy server.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's repository.

Vulnerable software versions

Anolis OS: 23

No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.

3) Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests

EUVDB-ID: #VU82315

Risk: Medium

CVSSv4.0: 2.7 [CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]

CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46846

CWE-ID: CWE-444 - Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request Smuggling')

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform HTTP request smuggling attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper validation of HTTP requests when parsing HTTP/1.1 and ICAP messages. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers.

Successful exploitation of vulnerability may allow an attacker to poison HTTP cache and perform phishing attacks.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's repository.
