Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36037)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to security features bypass in Microsoft Excel. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and gain elevated privileges.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-36041)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in Microsoft Excel. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
