SB20231123118 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Intel oneAPI Toolkit and Component

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-24592)

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform directory traversal attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A local user can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system, leading to privilege escalation.

2) Protection Mechanism Failure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27383)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass implemented security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient implementation of security measures. A remote administrator on the local network can bypass implemented security restrictions and elevate privileges on the system.
