Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-43015)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Web UI. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40699)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


3) Configuration (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-42019)

The issue may allow a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The issue exists due to the failure to properly enable the HTTP Strict Transport Security header. A remote attacker can gain access to potentially sensitive information.


4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-42009)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Web UI. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.


6) Information exposure through externally-generated error message (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-43021)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application while handling error conditions. A remote attacker can obtain sensitive information on the system.
