Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40458)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.
2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40459)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in the ACEManager component. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40460)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the ACEManager component. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40461)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the ACEManager component. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
5) Reachable Assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40462)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in the ACEManager component. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
6) Use of hard-coded credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40463)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain full access to vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to presence of hard-coded credentials in application code. A remote unauthenticated attacker can access the affected system using the hard-coded credentials.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Use of Hard-coded Cryptographic Key (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40464)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected application uses a hardcoded SSL certificate and private key. A remote user can perform a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack between the ACEManager client and ACEManager server.
