Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cleartext transmission of sensitive information (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50703)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to software uses insecure communication channel to transmit sensitive information. A remote attacker with ability to intercept network traffic can gain access to sensitive data.
2) Open redirect (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50704)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to redirect victims to arbitrary URL.
The vulnerability exists due to improper sanitization of user-supplied data. An attacker with physical access can create a link that leads to a trusted website, however, when clicked, redirects the victim to arbitrary domain.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a local attacker to perform a phishing attack and steal potentially sensitive information.
3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50705)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
4) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-50706)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. An authenticated attacker with physical access can perform a memory dump of the running processes and extract clear credentials or valid session tokens.
