Description
This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51572)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the getMacAddressByIP function. A remote unauthenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51586)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the selectEventConfig method. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
3) Use of hard-coded credentials (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51588)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to presence of hard-coded credentials within the configuration of a MySQL instance. A local user can use leverage the database credentials to execute arbitrary code on the system.
4) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51590)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of file during file upload within the UpLoadAction class. A remote attacker can upload a malicious file and execute it on the server.
5) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51591)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input within the doDocument method. A remote attacker can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
6) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51593)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Struts2 dependency. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51595)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the selectDeviceListBy method. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
8) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51570)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the RMI interface on port 41009/TCP. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51571)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization within the SocketService module accessible on port 41222/UDP. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
10) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51573)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication.
The vulnerability exist due to an error within the updateManagerPassword function. A remote attacker can set a new password for the manager account and gain unauthorized access to the application.Remediation
