The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read error within the cpu_power_to_freq() function in drivers/thermal/cpufreq_cooling.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
