Description
This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30373)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of JPF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JPF file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5301)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of PSD files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted PSD file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5302)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of PDF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
4) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5303)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of PSD files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PSD file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
5) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5304)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of TGA files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted TGA file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
6) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5305)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of PDF files. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted PDF file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5306)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of PDF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
8) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5307)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the handling of Annotation objects in AcroForms. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
9) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5510)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JP2 file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
10) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5511)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JP2 file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
11) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5512)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JP2 file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
12) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-5513)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of JP2 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted JP2 file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
