1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-52864)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the wmi_dev_match() function in drivers/platform/x86/wmi.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
