1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-52612)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to memory corruption within the scomp_acomp_comp_decomp() function in crypto/scompress.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
