Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6146)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the HTTP server in the uh_get_postdata_withupload function. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6142)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the HTTP server in the uh_tcp_recv_content function. A remote attacker on the local network can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6143)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the HTTP server in the uh_tcp_recv_header function. A remote attacker on the local network can trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Format string error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6145)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a format string error within the HTTP server. A remote attacker on the local network can supply a specially crafted input that contains format string specifiers and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6144)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the HTTP server. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
