Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Off-by-one (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38439)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an off-by-one error within the setting ibuf[PASSWDLEN] to "\0" in FPLoginExt in login in etc/uams/uams_pam.c. A remote attacker can trigger an off-by-one error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Off-by-one (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38440)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an off-by-one error within the FPLoginExt in BN_bin2bn in etc/uams/uams_dhx_pam.c. A remote attacker can trigger an off-by-one error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Off-by-one (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-38441)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an off-by-one error within the ibuf[len] to "\0" in FPMapName in afp_mapname in etc/afpd/directory.c. A remote attacker can trigger an off-by-one error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
