Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39826)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker can trick the victim to click on a specially crafted URL and read contests of arbitrary files on the system.
2) Race condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27238)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition. A local user can exploit the race and gain unauthorized access to sensitive information and escalate privileges on the system.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27241)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-27240)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
