This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-41957)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash the application.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the tagstack_clear_entry() function. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file with Vim using several non-default flags, trigger a use-after-free error and crash the editor.


2) Double free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-41965)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash the application.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the dialog_changed() function. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a double free error and crash the application.
