Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in the ksmserver component. A local user can use the session restore feature to execute arbitrary code as the user on the next boot.

Mitigation

Update the affected package plasma-workspace.
