Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6631)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authorization checks.
The vulnerability exists due to a missing capability check on several AJAX actions. A remote user can perform unauthorized actions, such as updating plugin settings.
2) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-8120)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in the class/class-image-otimizer.php file. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
