Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-25768)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in UI upgrade process. A remote attacker can access the Mautic version number or execute parts of the upgrade process without permission.
2) Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-25770)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient authentication in upgrade flow. A local attacker can update the application via an upgrade script.
3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-27917)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in contact tracking and page hits report. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47050)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in contact/company tracking. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
5) Observable Response Discrepancy (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47059)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to the observable response discrepancy issue when validating password. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information on the target system.
6) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47058)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
