Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-26614)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources within the reqsk_queue_alloc() function in net/core/request_sock.c. A remote attacker can send specially crafted ACK packets to the system and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-36886)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error within the tipc_buf_append() function in net/tipc/msg.c when processing fragmented TIPC messages. A remote attacker can send specially crafted packets to the system, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system in the context of the kernel.
3) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-52471)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to NULL pointer dereference within the ice_ptp_register_auxbus_driver() and ice_ptp_create_auxbus_device() functions in drivers/net/ethernet/intel/ice/ice_ptp.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
