CVE-ID: CVE-2024-2398

CWE-ID: CWE-772 - Missing Release of Resource after Effective Lifetime

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to an error when sending HTTP/2 server push responses with an overly large number of headers. A remote attacker can send PUSH_PROMISE frames with an excessive amount of headers to the application, trigger memory leak and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

Q & A

Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?

Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the Internet.

Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?

No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.

2) Input validation error

EUVDB-ID: #VU93102

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6162

CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when handling url-encoded request path information. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

3) Incorrect Conversion between Numeric Types

EUVDB-ID: #VU80783

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2023-3635

CWE-ID: CWE-681 - Incorrect Conversion between Numeric Types

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to GzipSource does not handle an exception that might be raised when parsing a malformed gzip buffer. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

4) Out-of-bounds read

EUVDB-ID: #VU93519

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 4.6 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2024-37371

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when handling GSS message token. A remote attacker can send specially crafted token to the application, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

5) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

EUVDB-ID: #VU97457

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 4.7 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2024-29736

CWE-ID: CWE-918 - Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)

Exploit availability: No

Description

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input passed via the WADL stylesheet parameter. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires that a custom stylesheet parameter is configured.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.
