Description
This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47901)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in specific GET requests. A remote unauthenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47902)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected web server does not authenticate GET requests that execute specific commands on operating system level. A remote attacker can bypass authentication on the target system.
3) Execution with unnecessary privileges (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47903)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected web server allows to write arbitrary files to the web server's DocumentRoot directory. A remote attacker can gain elevated privileges on the target system.
4) Incorrect Privilege Assignment (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47904)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to the affected devices contain a SUID binary. A local user can execute arbitrary commands with root privileges.
