Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47940)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PSM file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47941)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted PAR file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
3) Insecure DLL loading (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-47942)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to the application loads DLL libraries in an insecure manner. A remote user can place a specially crafted .dll file and execute arbitrary code on victim's system.
