Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-46901)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of filenames if serving repositories via mod_dav_svn. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted filename to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-45720)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation during "best fit" character encoding conversion. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Note, the vulnerability affects Windows installations only.
