Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-54008)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in CLI. A local user can pass specially crafted arguments to the commands and escalate privileges on the system.


2) Inefficient regular expression complexity (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-25844)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to angular provides a custom locale rule that makes it possible to assign the parameter in posPre: ' '.repeat() of NUMBER_FORMATS.PATTERNS[1].posPre with a very high value. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform regular expression denial of service (ReDos) attack.
