Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39285)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in the UEFI firmware. A local user can gain access to sensitive information.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-40885)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in in the UEFI firmware. A local privileged user can execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-39811)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The
vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied
input in UEFI firmware. A local privileged user can execute arbitrary
code with elevated privileges.
