Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to an improper control of a resource through its lifetime in the routing protocol daemon (rpd). A remote attacker can send a malformed BGP UPDATE packet to the affected device and perform a denial of service attack.

The vulnerability affects iBGP and eBGP, and both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
