Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-52531)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when performing conversion to UTF-8. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and crash the application.

2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-21502)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Hotspot component in Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.

3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-12900)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the BZ2_decompress() function in decompress.c. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted archive, trick the victim into opening it using the affected library, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-20954)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Compiler component in Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.

5) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-21098)

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Compiler component in Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform service disruption.
