Description
This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use of Uninitialized Variable (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2014)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to uninitialized variable within the parsing of VS files. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2016)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error when parsing VC6 files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2018)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error when parsing VS files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2012)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition when parsing VS files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
5) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2015)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted VS file, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2013)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when parsing CO files. A remote attacker trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
7) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2017)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing CO files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
8) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2023)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow when parsing LI files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger an integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2019)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when parsing VC6 files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
10) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2020)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing VC6 files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted file, trick the victim into opening it using the affected software, trigger an out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
11) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2021)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow when parsing XE files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger an integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
12) Type Confusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-2022)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a type confusion error when parsing VS files. A remote attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted file, trigger a type confusion error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
