Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Reachable assertion (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20666)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion in Modem. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
2) Inadequate Encryption Strength (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20667)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect error handling in Modem. A remote attacker can gain access to sensitive information on the target system.
3) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20671)
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in thermal. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
4) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20668)
The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in scp. A local user can trigger an out-of-bounds write and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
5) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20670)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper certificate validation in Modem. A remote user can gain access to sensitive informatin on the system.
6) File and Directory Information Exposure (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-20665)
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a missing SELinux policy in devinfo. A local attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
