Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Resilient File System (ReFS) Deduplication Service. A local attacker can win a race condition, trigger double free error and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
