Description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to an error when Visual Studio Code processes environment variables after opening a project. A remote attacker can trick the victim into cloning a repository and opening it in Visual Studio Code to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
