Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error when processing SCP connection request. A remote non-authenticated attacker can try to initiate SCP connection, trigger NULL pointer dereference error and crash ProFTPd daemon.
