Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to crash the application.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error when processing .pdf files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .pdf file, trick the victim into opening it, cause NULL pointer dereference and crash the affected application.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in denial of service attack.

Mitigation
Install the latest version Foxit Reader 8.2.1 or Foxit PhantomPDF 8.2.1.
