Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing DNSSEC validation within the bind package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a specially crafted DNS response and trigger assertion failure.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
