Description
The vulnerability allows a malicious guest to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization within the hgfsVMCI_fileread function in the Host Guest File Sharing (HGFS) functionality. A malicious guest with local administrative privileges on a virtual machine can read privileged information contained in hypervisor memory from a virtual machine.

Mitigation
Install updates from vendor's website.
