Description
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists due to out-of-bounds read in the cdc_parse_cdc_header function in drivers/usb/core/message.c. A local attacker can use a specially crafted USB device and cause the system to crash.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability results in denial of service.
Mitigation
Update to version 4.13.7 or later.
