Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper locking within the mpt3sas_base_sync_reply_irqs() function in drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_base.c. A local user can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
