Description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to wrong permission is applied to the alert rule write API endpoint. A remote user with permission to write external alert instances can also write alert rules.

Mitigation
Install updates from vendor's website.
